Chris Kaba: Nationwide protests erupt after police shooting

Protests are taking place across the country following the police shooting Chris Hippo.

An unarmed 24-year-old man was killed earlier this month following a chase. of Streatham, south londonwhen he was driving a blue Audi.

It was posthumously found that he died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Amid community unrest, the Independent Police Action Service is conducting a homicide investigation and the firearms officer has been suspended.

Investigators will consider whether race was a factor, the police watchdog said.

The demonstration, organized by Hippo’s family, kicked off at 12pm on Saturday in London. Start in Parliament Square and move to Scotland Yard.

A photo shared on social media shows Black Lives Matter activists gathered outside New Scotland Yard at noon, holding a sign reading “Justice for Chris Kaba.”

Former Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn has been spotted protesting. This follows last week’s protests, which included support from musician Stormzy, Labor MP Bel Ribeiro Addy and Harriet Herrmann.

Protests are also taking place in other cities such as Manchester and Cardiff as part of the National Day of Action.

This is because Mr. Hippo’s family has requested to see body camera footage of the incident.

Cava’s cousin, Jefferson Bosera, said: “The family is urgently requesting to see both the body camera footage and the aerial footage from the helicopter.

He also accused the Independent Bureau for policing, saying they were “very vague” and “caused upheaval.”

He also said his family was unhappy that it took a week for the officer to be suspended.

Cover, the would-be father, died after the Audi he was driving was ambushed by two police cars in Kirkstall Gardens and shot once.

Scotland Yard initially resisted calls from Mr Cava’s family asking for the suspension of the officers involved.

But on Monday, the officer was suspended after a violent public outcry.
