Death in Clifton Park: Child dies in park tragedy as police begin investigation

Police have launched an investigation after a child died at a park on Easter Sunday.

Emergency services rushed to Clifton Park in South Yorkshire after reports of a young man fighting for his life.

Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Locals reported seeing large numbers of police crowding the park and a cordon being set up quickly.

At Clifton Park on Doncaster Road, Rotherham, the terror spread around 4pm yesterday.

Yorkshire Air Paramedics also rushed to the scene, but the child died tragically.

Police said they would not release any further information.
