Double homicide investigation opens after 15-year-old teenage boy and 23-year-old man stabbed to death in north London, knife man escapes
A double homicide investigation has been launched after two people, including a 15-year-old boy, were stabbed to death.
At around 11:30 pm yesterday, police were dispatched to Islington, north London, after receiving a report of a stabbing.
A teenage boy, believed to be 15 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
A 23-year-old man who was taken to hospital with a stab wound also died after bleeding.
Police confirmed that a third victim, a 28-year-old man, was found at the address with knife wounds and is still in hospital.
His condition is not considered life-threatening.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority said no arrests had been made following the horrific incident in front of “a large number of people.”
A Section 60 order has been authorized giving the police additional powers to stop and search.
Chief Superintendent Andy Carter said: “My thoughts go out to the families of the two victims who have suffered unimaginable losses in this shocking and unacceptable incident.
“We will support our colleagues’ investigations and the public will see an increased police presence in the area.
“Anyone with information that can help us figure out exactly what happened, please approach the police immediately or contact us. A man and a boy have lost their lives. must now work together to identify those responsible and remove them from the city.”
