A GCSE dropout could reportedly face 52 years in prison for founding one of the world’s largest hacker forums.

Diogo Santos Coelho Londonis fighting extradition to the US amid accusations that his website stole 10 billion files and £400 million from countless ordinary people.

The 23-year-old was allegedly just 15 when he left school to run RaidForums, a “black hat” site where criminals sell people’s personal information.

The site was raided just last year, but Mr. Coelho is now wanted in court in Richmond. Virginiaon charges including fraud and identity theft.

The RaidForums site was seized in April 2022, and the U.S. Department of Justice announced that “criminal charges have not been sealed” against its founders.

Coelho was also arrested last year while traveling from his former residence in Portugal to visit his sick mother in the UK.

Coelho’s lawyers said he was “exploited by adults” when he launched the site, adding that he came from a troubled family.

A few weeks ago, the 23-year-old had been diagnosed with autism and said extradition would put him at risk of suicide.

he reportedly told the Westminster Magistrate’s Court that “the most pressing concern is that of being imprisoned in a foreign country without assistance.”

“When I was talking to my psychiatrist, I was talking about concerns about long prison terms.”

Mr Coelho is currently living in Vauxhall, south London, on £30,000 bail and an electronic curfew pending a decision on his extradition.
