Hackney stabbing: 26-year-old fatal, another in hospital
Cops were called around 4:30 am today (February 11) after two men were taken to hospital with stabbings.
Both men were quickly confirmed to have been stabbed in the White Post Lane area of Hackney, where the crime scene is now and forensic examinations are underway.
One of the 26-year-old men died of his injuries in hospital. A police spokesperson said officers were in the process of providing information to his family and that a post-mortem examination and formal identification would be arranged in due course.
A second 24-year-old man remains in the hospital awaiting a formal assessment of his condition by officers.

A police spokesperson added that although no arrests have been made at this time, an emergency investigation is underway led by Specialist Crime detectives and assisted by colleagues from the MET’s Central East BCU.
