A MAN has been charged after scaling a wall at Buckingham Palace to get inside the royal grounds.
There he was searched and detained by officers working at the Palace and taken to a London police station.
Met Police today said Rovalino had been charged with trespassing on a protected site.
The 25-year-old has also been charged with attempted theft from a motor vehicle during the same incident.
Rovalino will appear in court today.
He had been arrested outside the stables in the mews on suspicion of trespassing on a protected site and was held in police custody.
“At 1.25am on Saturday September 16, officers at Buckingham Palace responded to a person climbing the wall and entering the Royal Mews.
“Following a search, a 25-year-old man was detained by officers outside the stables in the Royal Mews.
“At no point did the man enter Buckingham Palace or the Palace Gardens.
“The man has been arrested under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act for trespassing on a protected site.”
