The gunman was believed to have targeted a man attending a funeral with the victim as part of a retaliatory attack.

A woman at last night’s funeral said, mail on sunday: “People say the intended target of the shooting was a man who attended the service.

“There is speculation that it was some sort of retaliation attack.”

Pastor Jeremy Troode, who conducted the funeral, told The Sun on Sunday:

“A woman lay on the ground, believed to be seriously injured.”

Mourner Jawida Ifgaral said:

“When the service was over, we were outside to see the pigeons flying.

“A black car came and started shooting bullets. It was chaos.”

Another Witness who took refuge in a church added:

“Whether it was a bomb or a gunman, no one knew. We were looking for a place to hide.

Yesterday’s service was a celebration of Colombian Frecia Calderon, 50, and her daughter Sara Sanchez, 20, who had leukemia.

They died within days of each other in November. Frecia suffered a pulmonary embolism, and when she got off the plane at Heathrow Airport, she collapsed in front of Sarah and died.

Home Secretary Suera Braverman said last night:

“My thoughts are with them and their families.

“Metropolitan Police fully support a thorough investigation and the arrest of those responsible for this horrific crime.”

After the attack, about 12 police cars and 6 ambulances and 1 ambulance rushed to the scene.

The Met confirmed that all six victims were shot.

The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, but police said the 48-year-old woman could be life-changing.

A 12-year-old boy suffered a minor leg injury and was taken to hospital, where he was discharged.

Superintendent Ed Wells said:

A search is underway for the culprit who was in the blacked out car.

“Initial investigations suggest the shot was fired from a moving vehicle,” said London’s Metropolitan Police.

Ali Hassan Ali, 40, a former Metropolitan Police officer, claimed that a young man wearing a balaclava escaped and was chased by police.

Yesterday’s funeral celebrated the lives of Colombian Frecia Calderón, 50, and her daughter Sara Sanchez, 20, who contracted leukemia.

Frecia suffered a pulmonary embolism and fatally collapsed in front of Sarah after stepping off a plane at Heathrow in November.

No arrests have yet been made in yesterday’s attack in the constituency of Labor leader Sir Kea Sturmer.

He said he was “extremely shocked” and urged anyone with information to come forward.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: “This is a very tragic incident. My thoughts are with those injured and their families.”
