Six hospitalized after Lamborghini and Royal Mail vans collide in Becton
The head-on collision occurred on Royal Dock Road. Bectonat 7:22 pm on Tuesday, both vehicles left crumpled wreckage.
Unconfirmed reports say the pale blue Lamborghini Urus, which sells for around £190,000, was being ridden by teenage boys who were due to go to prom after school when the accident happened.
Pictures of the aftermath showed a Royal Mail employee and two teenage boys in suits lying injured on the street.
The boys seemed to be comforted by their friend’s tinfoil blanket.
Police rushed to the scene around 7:20 pm with about 10 road ambulances and an air ambulance.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We have six paramedics, two paramedics in rapid response vehicles, two incident response officers and a number of personnel including members of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). were dispatched to the scene,” he said. It also dispatched a command support team to the scene and dispatched a London air ambulance.
“We treated six patients on site. We took two of our patients to a major trauma center and the other four to a local hospital.”
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said the injuries were not life-threatening. No arrests have been made.
