Taylor Swift makes big changes to ‘Speak Now’ album
Taylor Swift used a re-recording of her 2010 album Speak Now to “remove the misogyny” from the album.
Now she’s putting her words into action, changing the lyrics to her album track “Better Than Reform,” about a girl who stole her boyfriend.
“She’s not a saint, she’s not what you think she is. She’s an actress. She’s not a saint,” Taylor gushed about the exuberant original.
“She’s well known for what she does on her mattress.” In the re-recorded version, the line is “He was a moth to the flame, she had a match.”
In Miss Americana, Taylor said: contempt for women in your own brain.
“There is no such thing as a slut, there is no such thing as a bitch. There are no bosses, only bosses.”
Regarding the song, Taylor added: “I was 18 when I wrote this, and then you grow up and realize that no one can take away from you someone who doesn’t want to leave.”
Taylor is re-record her album amid a long-running dispute over ownership of the recordings of her first six studio albums.
