Thames Water confirmed an issue this morning (October 23) after a large amount of south east London residents woke up to no water or low pressure.
The problem appears to be affecting SE9 postcodes including Eltham, Mottingham, New Eltham and Chislehurst.
Currently, there is no update on how long repairs will take.
Thames Water claims they have received more than 70 reports explaining that they are dealing with either low water pressure or no water so far.
A spokesperson for Thames Water said: “We’ve found a burst pipe in SE9.
“A burst pipe is causing low water pressure and no water in SE9.
“Our specialist engineers are now working hard to fix this as quickly as possible.
“We are sorry to customers who may be experiencing no water or low water pressure in the SE9 postcode area.
“Our engineers are currently investigating the cause and will work hard to get things back to normal as soon as possible.
“Should customers be experiencing any problems with their water supply we would encourage them to contact our customer service line on 0800 316 9800 for assistance.”
