Train service suspended at Clapham Junction after ‘person was run over by train’
Rush hour commuter service suspended after reports of a person being run over by a train nearby Clapham Junction.
Several platforms at the station were closed Friday afternoon.

“A switch had to be cut in the affected area to allow our response teams and emergency services to assist with incident power to the trucks, which brought all nearby trains to a halt. .

“All lines have now resumed, but due to the nature of the incident, trains may be disrupted until the end of service.”
In a message to customers, Southern said:
It said it affected services from Littlehampton, Reigate, Portsmouth, East Grinstead and Eastbourne to London Victoria.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service confirmed the call was received shortly after 3pm and said an air ambulance had also been dispatched.
